Goodman Group (Goodman) today announced it has reached an agreement at Schiphol Logistics Park that will enable Goodman to develop a 28,000 sqm multi-customer air cargo logistics facility.
The agreement was signed by Ruud Bergh, Director General of Schiphol Area Development Company (SADC), Nico van Wieringen, Director Schiphol Logistics Park B.V and Philippe Van der Beken, Goodman Managing Director Continental Europe at the international real estate industry exhibition, Provada which is currently taking place in Amsterdam.
Speaking today, Tia van Beek, Country Manager The Netherlands said: “We are delighted with this active cooperation which will stimulate air logistics activity in the airport area and we will commence development as soon as an anchor customer has been secured. We are confident that we can deliver the completed facility within six months as a building permit has already been obtained.”
Schiphol Logistics Park is strategically located just five minutes from the airport apron and is directly connected to the main airport air cargo handling zone via a Dedicated Cargo Lane. The 45 hectare site is the ideal location for airport-related logistics business. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol ranks third in Europe for air cargo volume and is the fourth busiest airport for air cargo and passengers combined.
